Fuslieradama 68 posts Clan Member	Winter olympics are here ! Well, next week. I am headed off to Vancouver as part of the security detail for three weeks so I won't be playing. Fuslieradama 68 posts Clan Member	Soooo, CANADA kicked US ass............there, I said it Vancouver was great ! 3 weeks in lotus land ! The flowers were starting to bloom, the grass was green, the slopes were white (kind of) and the Olympics were fantastic ! I got tickets to the mens alpine skiing slalom and spent the day at Whistler. What a great experience. Also got to go see Maelle Ricker get her gold medal for snowboard cross. Spent many a night in a frienly pub with friends enjoying Canadian hockey games. My work was relatively easy and had lots of time off to spend in and around the Olympic happy city of Vancouver. It was an electric atmosphere with thousands of people from all nations enjoying themselves and having a good time. I spent WAY too much money on Olympic clothes and ate way to much curry and sushi than a person should in three weeks. I will try and post some Olympic pics here later in the week. Glad to be back home though, wasnt getting much sleep Posted Mar 10, 10

=RCR=Crunch 96 posts Clan Member	Glad to hear you had a good time out there!!!!!!!!!!!! The wife and I watched more Olympics than ever before. It was nice to see Canadians get excited about something positive for a change!! Too bad some of the RCMP got sent home early but I guess crap happens I love the Canadian sense of humor...... the way they got the last support up for the closing ceramonies!! Fuslieradama 68 posts Clan Member	Yup, good times were had by all. Closing ceremony was a much different, comedic affair than the opening ones. I loved the opening ceremonies, especially the visuals projected onto the floor of the stadium. FACT: Vancouver2010 was the first INDOOR opening cermonies in the history of winter games.
