Fallout 3...mission complete - Royal Canadian Regiment - Rabid Beavers

Fuslieradama 68 posts Clan Member	I finally finished Fallout3 last night....what a game ! I figure I located at least 90% of the locations according to a spoiler map and maxed out my level. I didnt get the expansions though. I read about them and they seem like standalone games that arent really part of the bigger story and I am not really interested in that. Has anyone else played the expansions? If you loved Oblivion, you will love this post-apocalyptic romp through the Washington DC/Virginia area in a non linear RPG/FPS genre ! Adama out. Fuslieradama 68 posts Clan Member	Really??????? Its like the best of RPG and FPS all rolled into one. In Fallout3 you can choose to be the lone wolf and battle through on your own, or you can have another NPC join your team. You can also choose moral direction...be an asshole or a saviour lawfull goody two shoes or something in between.....The open non linear gameplay (except for the main story line) is the biggest appeal to me. Fuslieradama 68 posts Clan Member	Know what you mean...I actually played through the first third of Fallout3, had computer probs, got frustrated and when I finally got it back working, I started Fallout3 all over again from the beginning. Actually, I did that with COD4 as well ! I played to the part where you shoot the guy with the sniper rifle, then the helicopter and have to rappell down the building and flee. I COULDN"T flee without getting killed through the complex and gave up for a while before coming back to the game. The only game I never finished was Empire III. too dam hard ! Neurosis 5 posts	Adama I loved Fallout 3, it was a great buy. But I never got any of the expansions. It seemed like a new one came out every other week so with each new one I started to feel more and more like it was a cashgrab with the potential of lacking in story. I will be most definitley be picking up Mass Effect 2 9 days from now. I loved the first one and that game too was a well designed RPG shooter. Pretty much everything Bioware creates is Gold really. Bauldurs Gate, Dragon age, Start wars knights of the old republic, Mass Effect... I love em all and their sequels. Posted Jan 18, 10
